Fertilizers use LCA from field to country scale and for current and future climate.
The aim of the work package is to evaluate the carbon footprint for fertiliser use in different scale, potential of GHG emission for selected agricultural practices and climate risks evaluation for agriculture under current and future climate change for 2030 and 2050 time horizons. Climate change assessments are based on results of regional climate simulations carried out in frame of the CORDEX programme. Using crop-models (DNDC, C-tool, Agro-C) the impact of climate change on crops yield and GHG and studied agricultural practices considered as adaptation option is analysed. LCA analysis for different spatial scale, climate and management are being performed using ISO 14040 LCA methodology.
